Release Anchor

The Revolution Anchor is a traditional danforth design anchor with a snag release mechanism. This allows the chain to be attached directly to the crown of the anchor. If the anchor becomes obstructed, simply release the mechanism allowing the anchor to be pulled up by the crown.
Releasing the mechanism is very simple. Drive past the vertical point (mooring position), keeping upward tension on the rope. Once past the vertical point, tug on the rope until the Release Mechanism disengages. This will allow the pulling force to be distributed to the rear (Crown) of the anchor and allowing it to easily be retrieved. Our release anchors are sized as follows:
